Evolving Elements is a professional, multi-stage roof coating system developed by JPS Coatings in Victoria, Australia. Designed for various substrates including concrete tiles, Colorbond®, galvanized iron, fibre cement, and unglazed terracotta, it's engineered to restore, rejuvenate, seal, and protect aging roofs.

System Components & Application Stages

The coating process involves several carefully formulated layers:

1. Surface Preparation

Premclean: Loosens moss, lichen, oil, and grime prior to pressure cleaning.

Anti-Mould Plus+: A biocide applied after cleaning to inhibit biological growth like mould and algae.

For metal roofs, Rustcure (for rust passivation) and Surface Prime Plus+ (primer with rust inhibitors) are used. 

2. Primer or Pointing Layer

Durapoint: Applied to re-bed mortar around roof caps—a flexible, pre-coloured acrylic compound. 

Primecrete: A water-based acrylic primer ideal for chalky or porous surfaces like concrete and unglazed terracotta, ensuring even adhesion and minimizing absorption. 

3. Undercoat (Optional for concrete tiles & Colorbond®)

Levelcoat: Helps smooth heavily worn surfaces before the final topcoat. 

4. Top Coat – Roof Membrane

Duramembrane: A 100% acrylic, pigmented or clear flexible finish for long-lasting weather protection and aesthetic enhancement—available in various colours and gloss levels. Ideal for concrete tiles, Colorbond®, and metals. 

Terraglaze Plus+: A high-gloss, 100% acrylic membrane tailored for unglazed terracotta tiles. Available in clear or pigmented finishes with over 36 tint options. Offers durable gloss, dirt repellence, and protection against mould/lichen.
